The U.S. Small Business Administration and Business Life Magazine cordially invite you to attend a free and open-to-the-public business workshop titled, Grow Your Small Business: Financing, Contracts and Negotiation Workshop at Woodbury University scheduled for the morning of Thursday, June 24th.

 

Overall, the goal of the event is to provide educational workshops on the topics below and to reinvigorate aspiring and current small business owners with a sense of perseverance that is needed in making good deals achievable in today’s economy.

 

This event will provide ample business resources to aspiring and existing business owners - here is a sample:

  • Access to Capital – SBA Lenders, Microlenders, Community Development Corporations and Venture Capital
  • Technical Assistance – Small Business Development Centers, Women’s Business Centers, Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), and Los Angeles Community Development Department
  • Government Contracting & Subcontracting – Los Angeles County-Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Department of Veterans Affairs-Veteran Industries, General Services Administration, METRO, and various utilities
  • Business Negotiations – Harrison-Chevalier/Business Life Consultant will provide workshops for business owners in: Negotiating Skills and Tactics tailored to Increase Sales-Reduce Costs
  • Business Plan Writing – A Small Business Development Center will provide workshops for aspiring small business owners
